Los Boliches train stop to Aparthotel Ronda 4

Maddy wrote to me: "Hi Mike, I have just read someone else's question and your answer, it seems quite straight forward from Malaga airport to Los Boliches train station, I just wanted to know if we can walk to the Ronda IV apartments (two young fit people with suitcases) and how long it would take or whether it might be better by taxi? Many thanks, Madeleine"

"Oh, just one more question, how long do you think it might take to walk it?"

I wrote back to Maddy:

"Hi Maddy

It's good to know you are fit and willing to walk! Long may that be.

One route from Los Boliches train station would be to walk down towards the Fuengirola Paseo Maritimo and then turn left and it is a very pleasant short walk. The weather is great at the moment, warm during the day and cool at night. It will be a nice stroll with the sea on your right, tempting smells of frying seafood, sea breezes and the promise of a cold beer or two at the end. About 12 minutes pulling a suitcase I calculate. Longer if you stop for a beer or sangria on the way.

Here is a link with a map showing Ronda IV apartments in relation to the Los Boliches train stop.

If you look at the map you will see the railway line apparently disappearing under a wider road, the Malaga airport train stop to Fuengirola train station rail line actually goes overhead at that point. You will see the road called Avda Jesús Santos Rein. Los Boliches station is where the "Av" is, closest to the river.

You could also actually walk back along that road until it merges with Avda de Las Gaviotas and then drop down to the Ronda IV. That wouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

I think between the two routes, I would choose to walk along the Paseo Marítimo along the beach, just to get an early taste of your beach holiday!

Have a great stay Maddy and thanks very much for your contact. Mike"
