Torrenueva Bus stops between Marbella and Fuengirola

Vivian wrote in to ask if the bus stop shown as Unicasa on the list of bus stops between Marbella and Fuengirola was really the Torrenueva bus stop. I checked it out and found that the bus stop is actually Torrenueva. The Torrenueva Urbanisation is on the left of the photo below. If you are travelling from Marbella to Fuengirola and want to get off at Torrenueva, your bus stop is on the right of the CN340 just behind the 500m exit sign. The sea is on the right You can see travellers waiting for the bus which will take them to Fuengirola or beyond.

There are two footbridges in the distance across the busy A7 road. Both connect La Cala de Mijas and the beach on the right with the developments on the inland side. The nearer footbridge you can see in the distance is next to the La Cala bus stops. On the right of the picture you are looking atLa Cala de Mijas and in the background you can see the mountains behind Fuengirola. The Saturday morning market in La Cala de Mijas is next to the second footbridge in the distance on the inland side.

The Torrenueva bus stop if you are travelling from Fuengirola to Marbella is hidden in the palm trees on the bottom left of the photo. If you are driving from Fuengirola and want to get to the beach, take the exit which you can just see on the left. The bus stop is just next to the exit.

Now you are looking in the opposite direction. This is your Torrenueva bus stop if you are travelling towards Fuengirola or Malaga. In the distance on the other side of the road is the yellow Unicasa real estate office from which the bus stop got its old name. On the right of the picture is the start of Torrenueva urbanisation.

This is the Torrenueva underpass for cars and pedestrians to cross from one side of the A7/CN340. It's a shady spot to park up or rest if you are walking back from the Torrenueva beach which you can see temptingly through the underpass. To cross from one side of the road to the other you will use the underpass below.

On the left of the picture below you will see the Torrenueva bus stop for travellers to Marbella and beyond. Unicasa is in the background and the roundabout in this picture, which you can just see part of in the picture above is right next to the underpass and between the Torrenueva exit and entry for cars off and onto the A7/CN340.

This is why you have come to Torrenueva. The sea is and all its pleasures is waiting for you! On the stretch of the Torrenueva beach below you will find chiringuitos serving fresh salads, sardines on the spit and any other foods you might want on a hot summers day. The beer is cold, the white wines well chilled and you can spread out after lunch on your beach bed under a thatched umbrella and just take things easy. Hire a pedalo or try your hand at windsurfing or just siesta quietly until its time for tea or another cool drink. In the evening, put on lots of lotion, some cool and daring and head on out to some live music in La Cala. That's what it's all about down here. Come on down and get into the action!
