Restaurants North of Marbella on the Ojen Road towards Monda

The Restaurants to the north of Marbella are above the La Cañada shopping centre and are on the road towards Coin and Monda. If these restaurants are full, just take a drive into the country on a Sunday and look for a venta. Basically you can stop wherever you see a concentration of parked cars. Ventas are where the locals eat. They are noisy, fun and the food is going to be good, fresh and well priced. This is where to take granny and the kids for Sunday lunch. Don't expect ultra quick service because you are not in fast food country!
Restaurante La Cascada Situated on the river which falls from the Junar mountain above, Restaurante La Cascada has its own trout tanks. An open charcoal grill is another feature of this interestingly situated restaurant. Live music and a display of art. Open on Sundays. La Montua 39, just off the Ojen road. Tel: 95 285 71 22
Casa de la Era The restaurant in a lovely cortijo offers Andalusian cooking. Just off the Ojen road. Great food and ambience. Tel: 95 277 06 25
