The Ronda bus station, only 4 blocks along the Avenida de Andalucia from the Ronda Train Station, is a vital connection point for buses to and from the Costa del Sol connecting all destinations on the coast with Sevilla, 126 kms from Ronda, right through to Portugal. The bus service which operates the inland bus routes in and out of Ronda is the Los Amarillos bus company.
Los Amarillos means "The Yellow Ones" and this is the colour of the buses in this fleet. The Portillo bus company alternates with the Amarillo bus company on routes from the Costa del Sol to Sevilla and you might travel on a Portillo bus or an Amarillo bus depending on your travel time. On the day that I took this photo, the Portillo bus company was on strike which is why you don´t see their buses in the bus station.
Meet Nina and Julia from Berlin who were passing through Ronda and were leaving their rucksacks in the left luggage lockers in the bus station while they went off to see explore Ronda for a few hours
Julia explained that to leave their bags in the Ronda bus station left luggage lockers cost €3.50 and that the tokens for the locker could be bought from the little kiosk selling sweets, souvenirs and and newspapers just inside the entrance to the bus station. In the Marbella bus station you buy your token from a machine for the left luggage lockers there.
After lots of pushing they managed to get everything into the locker but then found that the door wouldn´t lock. The bus station attendants let them leave their luggage in the storeroom for the day instead.
I only counted these 12 lockers but I am sure you could also leave your luggage for the day in the storeroom like Julia and Nina did, if you find that all the left luggage lockers are full in the Ronda bus station on the day that you pass through.
Los Amarillos Bus Schedules for destinations from Ronda and to Ronda
The Los Amarillos bus schedule varies like any other bus service. Here I have simply copied the Amarillos leaflet which the ticket office girl handed me so if you are catching a plane or have other connects please check with the Los Amarillos bus company before you travel. If you miss your bus your bus and need to catch a later one, there is a great little cafeteria in the bus station to hang out in. The tapas are good.
