Do all buses stop at the bus station?

Coastal buses  Please note that the L79 Avanza buses serving all the bus stops between Marbella and Estepona do not stop at the Estepona bus station.  They stop at Macdonalds just before the bus station and then again in the centre of Estepona. There they turn around and return to Marbella travelling on the opposite side of the road from the bus station. It’s a very short walk from MacDonalds to the bus station even pulling a suitcase.

Long distance buses from Malaga bus station, or Malaga airport or from other points in Spain do stop at the  bus station. They do not stop at any of the intermediate bus stops between towns.  The long distance buses include Alsa, Avanza and Interbus.  If you are arriving in Estepona on a long distance bus with a suitcase then take a taxi from the taxi rank outside to your destination.

Are there buses to Estepona from Malaga airport?

You have two possibilities:

1) Direct bus from Malaga airport to Estepona Bus Station  This direct service from Malaga airport to Estepona will stop once at Marbella bus station on its way to Estepona. It will then stop at Marbella bus station on its return journey to the airport. The terminus for this service  Estepona is the bus station. It does not go into the centre of the town.

2)  First take  the direct airport bus to Marbella bus station.  Then take the coastal bus along the A7 road. It stops at all intermediate stops between Marbella and San Pedro de Alcantará. Then it stops at all the bus stops between San Pedro de Alcantará  and Estepona and right into the centre of  Estepona.
