Where is the nearest bus stop to Skol Apartments to get to San Pedro de Alcántara?

Penny wrote to me ask “Dear Mike, I’m staying at the Skol Apartments  Marbella, please could you tell me where nearest bus stop is for me to get to San Pedro de Alcantará?  Thank you!”

I wrote back, “Penny, thank you very much for writing in.  Skol is a great place to be staying and right next to the beach.   Now, to answer to your question:

First of all from Skol Aparments walk up to Avenida Ricardo Soriano. It’s the main street running through Marbella. On your way up you’ll pass the Parque de la Constitución on your right.

At the T junction at the top of the road you have two choices:

First Possibility:  Firstly you could turn right and walk into the centre of Marbella.  Just before you get to the Alameda Park on your right, cross the road and wait outside the Farmacia Berdaguer at the bus stop there.  That’s the side of the road you need to be on to travel to San Pedro de Alcántara.  It’s a walk of about 600 metres.

Second Possibility: When you get to the T junction at the top of the road, you could turn left and walk until you get to the big Porcelanosa shop on your left.  Cross the road using the pedestrian crossing and wait at the bus stop on the other side of the road. That stop is about 800m away.

Penny look through at the list of bus stop between Marbella and Estepona. You’ll see the two stops I’ve mentioned. Pharmacia Berdaguer and Porcelanosa. On your way back from San Pedro, get off at either of these two stops.

Popular attractions near Skol Apartments

I couldn’t resist adding in a couple of things to check out whilst staying at Skol Apartments Marbella!

A Cruise to Puerto Banus from the Puerto Deportivo. Check through on this link about cruises to Puerto Banus almost from your front door.  You’ll see how close Marbella Puerto Deportivo is to Skol in the left of the picture. It’s just behind the Sky Blue catamaran seen pulling into the port.

A day on a Beach in Marbella.  Of course the beaches in Marbella are well maintained and scrupulously cleaned every day. The beach where this photo was taken is next to the Puerto Pesquero in Marbella. It’s the next port along from the Puerto Deportivo next to Skol. Easy walking distance.

I hope that helps you and that you have a great visit. Best wishes Mike”

I’ve been past Skol Apartments hundreds of times during the last forty years and visited friends there staying in the self catering apartments but thought it would be helpful for anyone else to add in the address where Penny would be staying.

  1. Hi Tracy, I hope you get this OK. Basically you should take the Malaga airport bus to Marbella and then change to the local bus from Marbella bus station which goes to Estepona. You’ll see San Pedro de Alcantará coming up ahead of you and you’ll need to get off the bus at the bus stop on the other side of the road of the hotel. Going back the other way towards Marbella and the airport, the bus stop right outside the Hotel Globales Cortijo Blanco works to perfection. Tracy please write again if I can help you. I'll be away for five days but I can help you when you get back. Best wishes from Marbella. Mike

  2. Hi am arriving in Malaga on the 17th of June and just wondering the best and most affordable way to travel from airport to globales cortigo blanco hotel in San pedro de alcantara for two adults and one child!! Kind regards Tracy
