A trip to Gibraltar is a must do outing for visitors to the Costa del Sol or Cádiz. It’s a great day out. Check through on my list of things to do on a day trip to Gibraltar that I sent to Chris who was staying near San Pedro de Alcantará
Driving? It’s an easy drive. You’ll drop down from the A7 coastal road to La Linea de Concepción, the Spanish town bordering Gibraltar. There is ample paid parking on the Spanish side of the frontier. I always prefer to park outside Gib and avoid unpredicable traffic queues going in or coming out.
Travelling by bus or organised excursion coach? Bus travellers will head for the La Linea bus station only five minutes walk from the border. I always suggest buying a return ticket on arrival. Do remember to leave enough time to get back to the bus station. Excursion coaches will drive through the border into Gibraltar of course.
