Fuengirola Train Station
The Fuengirola train station is right next to to the Fuengirola bus station. The two stations are only a very short walk block apart. You won’t need to pull your suitcase more than 200 metres. On the right of the picture you will see the red sign of the RENFE Fuengirola train station. On the left of the picture you will see two buses parked next to the Fuengirola bus station only one block away. There is a permanent taxi rank outside the Fuengirola train station.
Use the lift if you are travelling with heavy suitcases or prams or wheelchairs to the ticket office level. The Fuengirola train station is completely wheelchair friendly. The next stop on the line out of Fuengirola station is Los Boliches which is also wheel chair friendly. Malaga airport train station is of course accessible for wheelchairs also. In the centre of each train is one carriage adapted for wheelchair access. After Los Boliches on the C1 line is the Torreblanca train stop.
The Recinto Ferial (Fair Ground) is only 10 minutes walk back along the line. You’ll be using the Fuengirola Train station or the Los Boliches stop to get to the Fuengirola International Fair held in Fuengirola every year.
The interior of the Fuengirola train station is very functional. The underground ticket office and platform are accessible by stairs or by a lift before the ticket barriers. Only passengers with tickets can access the platform.
After you come up the stairs on your right as you come up from the platform, the taxis will be right in front of you. If you are heading for the Fuengirola bus station only one block away towards the sea, it doesn’t matter which side you come out.
For the first few hundred metres the train travels underground before emerging into the sunlight. Then it heads towards Malaga airport train station exactly 43 minutes along the line and the Maria Zambrano main train station in Málaga at the end of the C1 line.
