The Malaga Airport train station is one of the most used stops on the line between the Maria Zambrano main train station in Malaga and Fuengirola train station at the end of the C1 (Cercanias 1) line. Trains run in both directions with extreme punctuality every 20 minutes.

The C1 Cercanias train runs overground for most of its route before gliding underground as it approaches the Malaga airport (Aeropuerto) train stop which is right in front of the T3 airport terminal. Walk out of the Arrivals hall and the entrance to the train station is less than 100metres away. An easy distance to pull your suitcase!

Buy your tickets at the automatic ticket dispenser machines at the train station or from the ticket office next to the platform access gates on the left of the picture.

Pushing a pram or arriving in a wheel chair. There is a lift down to the platform and I advise wheelchair travellers to position themselves in the centre of the platform. In the centre of each train is a carriage with special wheel chair access. One intermediate stop at Los Boliches train and of course both the Fuengirola and Malaga train stations have lifts between the platforms and ground leve.

If you are on holiday I suggest you don’t hurry to catch the train. As I said above, you’ll see the train timetable between the Centro Alameda terminal in Malaga and Fuengirola station shows departures in both directions and from all intermediate stops in both directions every 20 minutes. You are on holiday, slow down!.
