“Oh, just one more question, how long do you think it might take to walk it?”
I wrote back to Maddy:
“Hi Maddy, it’s good to know you are fit and willing to walk!
As you’ll see in the photo above there’s an easy ramp to pull suitcases down from the platform to street level. You can also take the lift if that’s easier.
One route from Los Boliches train station which is the last stop on the C1 line before Fuengirola train station is to walk down towards the Fuengirola Paseo Maritimo and then turn left. From there it is a very pleasant short walk to Aparthotel Ronda 4. The weather is great at the moment, warm during the day and cool at night. It’ll be a nice stroll with the sea on your right, tempting smells of frying seafood, sea breezes and the promise of a cold beer or two at the end. After about 12 minutes pulling a suitcase you’ll be there. I calculate longer if you stop for a glass of sangria on the way.
You could also actually walk back along that road below the Los Boliches train station until it merges with Avda de Las Gaviotas Then walk towards the sea and the Aparthotel Ronda 4. That wouldn’t take more than 10 minutes.
I think between the two routes, I would choose to walk along the Paseo Marítimo along the beach, just to get an early taste of your beach holiday!
